About this Event

EVERYONE is invited to the WORLD DAY OF PRAYER at 1 PM on
Friday, March 1st in St. Matthew’s Church. The World Day of Prayer has
roots in the work of Canadian and American women’s missionary groups to
unite in informed prayer and prayerful actions for missions. Since 1920, it
has been a partnership between different denominations to glorify God and
give hope to women touched by injustice. St. Matthew’s CWL is hosting a
World day of Prayer Service this year, prepared by the women of Slovenia.

Through this annual World Day of Prayer, we are striving for love and
compassion that unites us as Christians and illustrate Christ’s prayer for the
Church.
